Quality Restoration for the Pieces You Value

Tove Restorations is a Naarm (Melbourne) based small business located in Brunswick West. We work with all types and periods of furniture with experience in the restoration of Mid Century and Antique furniture. We are passionate about helping our customers achieve their restoration vision for their unique pieces however big or small the job may be.

Minka Peters is the sole restorer for Tove Restorations, she is a fine arts graduate and found her passion in furniture restoration through working with a specialist in antique restoration and french polishing. Since then she has worked primarily with Mid Century furniture.

We aim to make furniture restoration a collaborative and accessible experience for everyone, and particularly want to encourage young people to invest in restoring their furniture pieces and participate in this special craft. We do this through providing a 10% discount to anyone under the age of 30.

Why Restore Your Furniture?

Australia generates 30,000 tonnes of commercial furniture waste every year. Not only does restoring your furniture make it look and function better in your home, it extends the lifespan of the piece reducing unnecessary waste.

The “fast furniture” industry encourages us to buy pieces that don’t last and often need to be replaced every few years. By choosing restoration, you can keep furniture in your home and out of landfill, you can save your money instead of buying new furniture and keep your furniture in the world for longer for future generations to enjoy.
